Mark Shank, Vice President & Co-Owner
Upon completion of his college education, attending both Missouri Southern State University and Graceland University, Mark began his career
in transportation and distribution with Leggett & Platt, Inc, at their corporate headquarters in Carthage, Mo. as the director of traffic, overseeing
transportation operations for 86 plant facilities. In 1982, after seeing the benefits of the deregulation act of 1980, Mark started his own company,
Pioneer Freight Systems, Inc, which has operated successfully for over 25 years by providing quality logistics services to hundreds of customers
and over 7,000 carriers. He has also taken continuing education courses in warehousing management, safety and risk management, legal
practices, and rate analysis. Aside from business, Mark enjoys working with the youth in his church where he has directed youth camps and retreats,
served on the Little League board of directors and coached, played competitive volleyball for years, and also is an avid fan of the St Louis Cardinals
and KC Chiefs. Mark and his wife Brenda live in Joplin where they have raised 5 daughters, Heather, Hannah, Tosha, Sarah, and Jessica and 1
son, Garrett. He also enjoys barbecuing and spending time with his grandchildren. |
